Hey fellow atheists!

We are Allyson and Christian (from thehopefulheathen and christiantheatheist, respectively).  We have both submitted to FoA before, but thought we should again because of what it has done for us!

We “met” here on Tumblr, and we wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for atheism.  I (Allyson) was just realizing my atheism around January or so, and I decided to follow some atheism blogs here on Tumblr,  Christian’s being one of them.  Seeing him promote this blog gave me courage to submit, and I think seeing each other’s submissions was one thing that made us want to get to know each other.  We are now in a long distance relationship (I’m in the US, he’s in the UK) that wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for FoA and Tumblr atheism.  We are hoping to meet this October when I am going to be across the pond for a Uni visit day.

We both really love this blog and want to say thanks for everything it does!

Hey, My name is Wyatt, I’m 16 and I live in New York. I had been in a catholic school from pre-k until 5th grade. After I changed school I had started to have doubts on religion in general after I started looking at events happening around the world involving religion. I don’t like people forcing their beliefs on others in general, including other athiests. If you feel a certain way, that’s great, just don’t force it on others. I’m easy going and easy to get along with, follow and message me if you would like, I’m always down to talk:)

I’m Rachel, I’m 12 years old, and I am an atheist :) I’m the only atheist in my family, the rest of my family is southern baptist. I recently came out to my family as an atheist and it didn’t go over very well. I’m now forced to go to church every Sunday. 

I consider myself to be a pretty nice and caring person. Very accepting of all types of people, religious, non-religious, straight, bi, gay, trans, whatever you are :) In my spare time, I love to read and write poetry. I’m really interested in the area of psychology.

I am godless, and I am a good person. :) 

Hi Rachel! Thanks for sending in a submission to the blog. I’m sorry to hear that your family isn’t supportive as you’d like them to be. Hopefully they’ll learn to see that your lack of belief doesn’t make you any less of a person. Best of luck!
